Every market stall, personal trainer, bank, insurance company or medical practice
What is it they need?
After ten years in the game I can tell you
It’s because we have limited minds!
Humans are kind of stupid that way 😘
Without numbers, without financial statements we would be at a loss, no one would know what was going on. The books wouldn’t balance, people would be constantly fighting over who has what and what it means.
Is that why traditional ‘T’ accounts haven’t evolved since the 15th century?
The 15th Century
William The Conqueror? No that was 1066
Abraham Lincoln? No that was the 1800's
The Vikings? No that was the bit before William The Conqueror
The Debit and the Credit
The seesaw that keeps us moving
The 1 and the 1
The books must balance you’ll hear them cry
That’s all it really is, a 1 and a 1, or a 2 and a 2 etc etc
Trillion dollar companies, the books have to balance. Billions in loans, the books have to balance, thousands of products, the books have to balance.
And they say accounting isn’t exciting 😴
Creativity and it’s opposite of control

Humans derive meaning from nature.
The turning of the earth is not the same as the ticking of the clock, that extra day we have, on a leap year, it’s so our earth can catch up (in space) to our human clock. We stretch our calendar so we don’t fall behind in our seasons.
Want Santa to come in summer?
That Feb 29th we have every 4 years, that’s the human clock reconciling with our solar system.
If the earth isn’t aligned then how can we know what we’re doing?
Your Company, Is Exactly The Same
The Collective Self is the shared identity we have with others.
Our family name, the university we attended, the company we work for and even our nationality.
It’s the thing in common we have with others.
So who’s in charge here?
How are you managing this situation?
