Getting to know yourself. That really is a funny term. How can you know the thing your mind is projecting and the meaning it carries? Is this intellect? Wisdom? Are people just making this up?
Enter the invisible world of the hero’s journey. That place inside where the answers are…
This invisible journey. Facing your demons, overcoming adversity and trying to make it somewhere. You know have to keep going. There’s this space that doesn’t quite make sense. Is it a gap in your imagination or your projection of reality?
The question is if it so arduous and challenging and takes so much. How do we make it easier? How do we decipher your meaning that you project onto your world? A world that controls you until you some how face it? Until you can emotionally challenge what’s inside. Shrek had to accept he was an ogre before he could accept Fiona’s love. Harry Potter had to take on the wizarding world before he could defeat the dark lord and Arthur had to pull the sword from the stone before he knew who he was and could become the King.
Mystery, story and folklore some will say. That was until I took my own identity back from the world. Less of a sword form the stone and more of a rejection of an image I’d constructed of academia, the corporate world and the glorification of some of the world biggest companies. The thing that had held me in my invisible world for over a decade. The place my identity had been embedded into as I try to balance my internal world upon it. A truly impossible task.
Making it through the trial, tribulation, dying of the old self, rejection of the mother and father figure and all the struggle in between… I could just enjoy this time I have.
